Institutions Buy! Record $9.3 billion in cryptocurrency inflows in 2021

Inflows into cryptocurrencies hit an all-time record in 2021 as institutions poured in.
Inflows into cryptocurrencies reached a record high of $9.3 billion in 2021, compared with $6.8 billion a year earlier, according to new data released Tuesday by CoinShares, a digital currency asset manager.
Bitcoin attracted $6.3 billion in inflows, up 16 percent year-over-year, ethereum attracted nearly $1.4 billion in inflows compared with $920 million a year ago, while multi-asset funds investing in multiple cryptocurrencies attracted $775 million in inflows compared with $352 million a year ago, according to the report.
